Youth and Love- Chap. 29

    A few weeks later, it was the New Year and the family spent it together in Cristy and Jinxx's house. December ended and January began. As Osiris graduated university, she and CC have started talking about decisions. Osiris was much older now. And she now had nothing else to do in life for now. She was bored. And she wanted change. A big change. While CC was out helping Jake buy new guitar strings, Osiris took the opportunity to tell her parents what she would do next.

    "Mom....dad...I have to talk to you about something. It's really important..." Osiris said, walking into the living room and kitchen. "Talk to us, sweetie bell." Jinxx said, turning off the TV and setting the remote down on the table.

    "I'll be right there, sweetie." Cristy said as she cleaned the last dish in the sink and put the rag down as she walked to the couch and sat down next to Jinxx. Osiris looked at them. "Well.....me and CC have been dating for YEARS now....and....times have changed since then....I'VE changed since then....and....now that I'm completely done with school and now that I'm a real, pure adult now...I think it would be best that...me and CC moved out and got our own place." Osiris explained, playing with her black rubber bracelets.

    Jinxx looked up at her. "You want to move out...?" He asked her, his smile disappearing. "WE...we want to move out...." Osiris said. Jinxx stood up. "Osiris....n-no...I-I can't.....you can't leave now...Osiris, you're my only daughter, my little girl.....you can't be gone.....n-not so early.....Osiris, you can't." Jinxx said, his voice with sadness. "Daddy...I'm not so little anymore." Osiris said, looking at him. Jinxx looked deep in her eyes. "...Because I love you....me and your mother will talk...and we'll tell you tonight how we feel about this." Jinxx said, looking down.

    Osiris hugged him. "Thank you, daddy..." She said as she walked down the hall and into her room. Jinxx threw himself on the couch. He sighed deeply and ran his hand through his hair. "Cristy....is this really happening...?" Jinxx asked, turning his head towards Cristy. "It sure is, Jeremy. She's growing up." Cristy said, wrapping her arms around his. "This means.....she'll be married soon.....my baby will be having her OWN babies...........oh, no......." Jinxx said. "What, what is it?" Cristy asked, looking at him.

     "Oh....my....god....I'M GETTING OLD!" Jinxx said, grabbing the hair on his head and pulling it down. "Calm down, Jeremy, you don't even LOOK old. Don't go weird on me. You're NOT old. You still play concerts like your 20. You don't even have gray hairs." Cristy told him, her eyes rolling. "I DYE MY HAIR, CRISTY! OHMYGOD, I'M GETTING OLD...!" Jinxx said, pacing the living room. "Honey....you're pacing again." Cristy said, crossing her arms and sighing. "Don't go off having a mid-life crisis or whatever you call it." Cristy added, standing up and walking back to the kitchen. "No....nononononono....! I can't be getting old....! NO...NO....NO!" Jinxx said, whining as he threw himself on the floor and crawled to Cristy's legs, wrapping his arms around her feet.

    "Ohmygod Jeremy, HONESTLY, you're a grown man, stop it." Cristy said, whipping him with the kitchen rag. Jinxx slapped himself in the face. "Ok...I'm ok." Jinxx said, standing up from the floor. "Now, we have to give this a LOT of thought. We have to set boundaries. We have to also, do the most important thing." Cristy said. "What would that be?" Jinxx asked, rubbing his head. "Let her grow up." Cristy said, looking at Jinxx.

    "Whoa, whoa, whoa, you guys want to WHAT?" Jake asked, somewhere else in the local music shop. "Yeah. We're thinking of moving out. Can you blame us, though? It's been YEARS. And you know she's finally done with university. And...it's a new year. We wanna have a change." CC explained, looking at the drumsticks as they walked by them. "Yeah, I get that. But....whoa, Jinxx is gonna feel SO OLD." Jake said with a laugh. CC laughed. "Yeah, I guess. But I'm serious. What do you think?" CC asked. "I think it's awesome. You guys wanna make your own life now. Although you love living with Cristy and Jinxx, ya'll gotta make your OWN family one day." Jake said, nudging CC's shoulder. CC blushed. "Stop dude, that's later on." CC said, blushing. Jake chuckled. "It's cool dude. I think Jinxx and Cristy will be cool with it." He said. "I hope so." CC said, sighing.

    Later that night, when CC had come home, Jinxx called CC and Osiris in to the living room. The moment was quiet, unless Cristy put the dishes away in the cabinets. "CC....what I'm about to tell you is important." Jinxx said, finally breaking the silence. CC raised his head. "Yeah...what is it?" CC asked. ".....Take care of her." Jinxx said with a smile. CC smiled brightly. Jinxx nodded. "Oh my god, THANK YOU, JINXX!" CC said, hugging Osiris tightly. "BUT. On account of a few acceptations." Jinxx said, raising a finger. "Tell me, ANYTHING." CC said with a smile. "You can't move more than 10 blokes away. And you CANNOT have kids until AFTER you two are married. And......you either have to take everything from your rooms...OR throw whatever you don't want away. Because we want those rooms COMPLETELY EMPTY." Jinxx explained.

    "You got it Jinxx, thank you so much, and thank you Cristy this means....the WORLD to us." CC said, smiling brightly as he ran to his room. Cristy smiled and Osiris looked at Jinxx. She smiled and hugged him tightly. "Thank you so much, daddy..." Osiris said as she walked down the hall and into CC's room to help him start cleaning up. "You did a good thing, Jeremy." Cristy said with a smile. "You think? Then...why do I feel like crying?" Jinxx asked, sighing and laying down on the couch. "Because you love her. And that's ok." Cristy said with a smile.
